Q: From what is the decking made?
A: Our decking is manufactured from virgin HDPE (high density polyethylene) and recycled wood fibre. Unlike other composite
decking products, the proprietary Lock TightTM Technology will prevent mold and mildew from penetrating and degrading the boards.
Q: How does the product fade over time?
A: There is UV stabilizer added to the product to make it fade resistant. Any Colour fading that occurs is barely noticeable to the human eye.
Q: Is the composite material Eco- friendly?
A: Our composites uses over 50% recycled wood fiber, making it one of the most eco-friendly composite decking materials on the market, our products
are also shipped in reusable packaging, further easing the burdens on the environment.
It's made to be 100% recyclable, allowing it's positive environmental legacy to continue far into the future.
Q: How many colors are available?
A: BetterDeck has 4 colors in stock, Cedar, Grey, Redwood and Chestnut.
Q: What lengths are available?
A: Deck boards are available in 16' (4.88 meters) lengths, we can supply custom lengths for large quantities.

Q: Is there any guarantee with the decking products?
A: Yes, there's a 30-year guarantee in writing, (the strongest in the industry) Deceuninck North America who manufacture the
products have 40 years of building product history and are also established in 37 countries.
Unlike other composite brands, the warranty does comply to Ireland, as BetterDeck deals direct with the manufacturer.
Q: How much more does composite cost compared with pressure treated or hardwood?

Q: Can I install the composite decking myself?
A: Our composite decking is one of the easiest materials to install. All our deck boards comes standard with a hidden fastener systems ensures,

Q: What do I build my structure with?
A: The structure under the deck is built using traditional methods, most commonly pressure treated timber is used for the framing and supports.
We recommend using deck flashing on top of the treated timber joists for added protection. Click Here for more information
Q: What spacing is required for my joists?
A: The joists are to be spaced no further than 16" (400mm) on centre for standard installations and 12" (300mm) on centre for commercial
applications. All stairs should be built 12" on centre.
Q: How do I clean my deck?
A: The simplest method is to wash the deck with a mild soap and water, power washing offers excellent results as well.
